Durban weather disappoints India-Indian batting fails as well

India lost the Durban test to South Africa due to inept batting and a failure from the Durban weather- The Indian batsmen however did not believe in letting the Durban weather play a part in the result of the India Vs South Africa second test and quickly ensured that the Indian batting folded up before the weather became any worse.

Once the Indian cricket team is determined to lose,no bad weather can hold them up!

Jokes apart, Ntini bowled with a lot of fire in the India Vs South Africa second cricket test under overcast conditions and the second cricket test result was determined in the first over of the fifth day when Sachin Tendulkar fell to Ntini for a duck. It quite amazes people that great batsmen like Sachin and Sehwag fall cheaply while bowlers like Zaheer and Kumble play for almost an hour.

The reason for the failures of top order batsmen in world cricket is the research done on the weaknesses of the batsmen. Sachin Tendulkar has a weakness for the inswinger from outside the off to the middle stump and every bowler of the world from Mohammed Asif to Brett Lee to Ntini will continue to exploit that weakness. Unless Sachin Tendulkar can solve that problem, his batting woes are bound to continue.

Ashes 2006 won by Australia-as predicted by GameCricket.com

The Ashes cricket test series has been won by Australia-The Ashes test series score is 4-0 so far and will probably get to 5-0 in favor of Australia.

You should have read GameCricket.com's prediction of the Ashes cricket series,2006 - You wouldnt have then been surprised at the performance of the Australian cricket team against England.

Why exactly did England lose the Ashes cricket series against Australia?

  • Ashes Loss reason 1 :

The Stresscothick incident: Threscothick was England's best opening batsman for the Ashes cricket series against Australia- To come to Australia for the Ashes cricket series and then decide not to play was most unprofessional of Threscothick, irrespective of his personal problems. I dont call for being jingoistic, but citing personal problems while the England cricket team is fighting one of its biggest battles against Australia reeks of not having any national pride.

  • Ashes Loss reason 2:

Inept team selection and captaincy by Flintoff: There is a lot of criticism for Fletcher in the Ashes cricket series-but the person who has to cop the blame is always the captain - Mr. Freddie Flintoff. Not selecting Panesar for the first two tests against Australia in the Ashes cricket series reeked of a really flawed selection policy.Even in the fourth Ashes test,Flintoff obviously has a very low opinion of Panesar's bowling and gave him just 12 overs in Australia's 300+ run assault.

  • Ashes Loss reason 3:

The loss of confidence for Harmison: Harmison at his best is probably one of the best bowlers in world cricket- the images that we always remember are those of Harmison bouncing the cricket ball into the ribs of the Aussie batsmen in the 2005 Ashes cricket series. In the current Ashes 2006 in Australia,Harmison has been a shadow of his former self and seemed to be scared to put the cricket ball close to the Aussie batsmen

The good news for the England cricket team after the Ashes cricket series 2006:

The retirement of Shane Warne and McGrath is the best cricket news that England have heard for a really long time. With young players like Bell and Panesar in the team,England should hopefully have a better time in the next Ashes cricket series :-)

Shane Warne has had the demoralized England cricket team for lunch in Ashes

Shane Warne put the demoralized England cricket team for the Ashes cricket series out of their agony by quickly grabbing five wickets and getting the England cricket team all out for 159 in the fourth England Vs Australia Ashes cricket test.

Shane Warne really did not have to do much, the England cricket team succumbed to some rather inept batting. The England batsman treated Shane Warne long hops like hot potatoes and tried their best to celebrate Shane Warne's 700 test match wickets by offering him an easy five wicket haul

Shane Warne is of course one of the greatest bowlers in test match cricket - but the one thing that the England batsmen need to learn is that the only way to win test matches is to not respect reputations and have an attitude that they are the best players in thet cricketing world. The one team that does this well in the New Zealand cricket team which does not have any world beaters and a limited player pool but still manage to cause significant upsets in world cricket due to their great attitude

Anyways, a salute to Shane Warne on his 700th test cricket wicket!

Sreesanth Vs Andrew Nel Video

Sreesanth Vs Andrew Nel Video

You should watch the Sreesanth Vs Andrew Nel cricket video, if you like cricket and want to have a laugh at the end of the year.

Sreesanth, the pace bowler who played the cricket match of his life displays his Mallu dance to the rest of the world after hitting the always intimidating Andrew Nel for a six.

However, Sreesanth should have avoided the needless altercation and attitude towards the reticent Amla- Sreesanth should remember that the last time he showed attitude was against Sachin Tendulkar in the Challengers trophy- and Sachin responded by hitting him for a few straight sixes- That sure did quieten Sreesanth :-)

Tendulkar responsible for Indian cricket team's win in South Africa

Sachin Tendulkar was responsible for the Indian cricket team's win in South Africa. This sounds stupid, doesn't it-Sachin Tendulkar had scores of 44 and 15? But,we at GameCricket.com, study the cricket game through complex statistical analysis and are convinced that Sachin Tendulkar was the key factor in India's win.

The most important factor in the first test of the India Vs South Africa cricket test series was the taming of the new ball. In every match that India has played in South Africa so far- the new ball has been a key influence on the outcome of the cricket match- After about 20 overs- the South African pitches turn comparatively benign.

India lost the one day international cricket series to South Africa because inevitably, India would lose all their key batsmen in the first twenty overs and no one was left to salvage the innings during the remaining benign overs

South Africa messed up their first innings of the first test against India by getting all out within 25 overs- In the second innings, the South African cricket team played out the first 25 overs and hey, the Indian bowling started to look like easy pickings.

Coming back to our contrarian findings on the first India Vs South Africa test match - India owe their successes to Sachin Tendulkar- Sachin played out a lot of overs bowled with the new ball and made things easier for the remaining batsmen like Ganguly. In short, Sachin batted when the South African lions were bowling and the remaining batsmen played well when the South African bowlers seemed to tame domesticated cats

Monty Panesar Turns Ashes test in England's favor

In the third England Vs Australia Ashes test cricket series, Monty Panesar has literally 'turned' the match in favor of England by picking up regular wickets.

So far, this Ashes test seems to be going England's way with Monty picking up vital wickets including that of Symonds who was threatening to thrash Monty out of the attack by taking 17 runs off one of his overs

Hats off to Flintoff for manfully handling England's attack in this Ashes cricket test- 'Freddie' Flintoff kept Panesar on even when he getting thrashed to all parts of the ground and the spectators were having to fend off the ball rather than the fielders

Harmison is also bowling with the old fire of the past Ashes cricket test series- All bodes well for England in this England Vs Australia Ashes cricket test series- If only England can pick up the last few wickets of Australia's tail and England will be back in this Ashes cricket series

India Vs South Africa Test matches- A better show expected from the Indian cricket team

India received a drubbing in the recent India Vs South Africa one day cricket series- and nobody really expects the Indian cricket team to do better in the test cricket series.

However,we at GameCricket.com, think that India will actually put up a better show in the India Vs South Africa test cricket series- Based on our statistical simulation of India Vs South Africa cricket matches- India should do far better in the test cricket series against South Africa.

Two factors may prevent the Indian cricket team from doing well in the India Vs South Africa test cricket series-

  • Another Chappell inspired idiosyncratic and stupid team selection in the India Vs South Africa test cricket series

Chappell has single-handedly, messed up the confidence and stability of the Indian cricket team with his needless rotation of the Indian batting order and frequent changes to the Indian cricket team. Chappell's Australian ideas may be good for Australia but not for the Indian cricket team which thrives on stability and confidence. Just as an Indian coach, with Indian ideas would fail miserably with the Australian cricket team,Chappell has been a really bad influence for the Indian cricket team, especially in the India Vs South Africa cricket series

  • Sachin's lack of confidence in the India Vs South Africa cricket test series

In the India Vs South Africa cricket test series,Sachin seems to be suffering from an absolute lack of form and more importantly confidence. Its quite amazing that a player of the calibre of Sachin can suffer from a lack of confidence. Unless Sachin scores at least one hundred in the India Vs South Africa cricket test series,India have no chance.

Graeme Smith should be the man of the India Vs South Africa cricket series

Graeme Smith won the toss five times and made all the right decisions- Despite his succession of ducks against Zaheer- he should be the man of the series in the India Vs South Africa cricket series for winning the toss every time

The last India Vs South Africa one day international was also decided by the toss- Graeme Smith won the toss and elected to field. The ball moved a lot during the initial phase of the match, but during the Indian team's bowling, it was as dead as an Indian wicket.

I am sure Ntini and Pollock would not have got some lateral movement if South Africa had bowled second. Essentially, the one day cricket series between South Africa and India was a classic case of Graeme Smith and South Africa knowing the conditions of each pitch of the India Vs South Africa cricket series and exploiting every pitch effectively.

Kudos to the think -tank of the South African cricket team..and Graeme Smith's abilities to win the toss :-)

India Vs South Africa Fifth ODI- The toss will decide the outcome!

Statistics lie in India Vs South Africa one day international cricket series

Media reports suggest that the India Vs South Africa one day international cricket series has so far seen a decimation for India. Statistics for the India Vs South Africa one day international cricket series would tend to support the theory since India's best performance has been a 86 run loss to South Africa

India and South Africa cricket teams evenly matched in India Vs South Africa cricket series

We,at GameCricket.com would tend to disagree. Statistical analysis of India Vs South Africa one day international cricket matches suggest that India and South Africa are almost evenly matched.

South African cricket team seems equally suspect against good seam bowling

We are not saying that India are good players of pace bowling or can negotiate the bounce of South African pitches. All we are saying is the South African cricket batsman are equally bad in facing good seam bowling!

The toss is the most important factor in the India Vs South Africa one day international cricket series

In South African conditions, the toss is very important as it is very difficult to play good cricket seam bowling under the lights. The cricket ball also tends to move a little more and this makes it very difficult for the batsman. Graeme Smith is the true man of the series for the India Vs South Africa cricket series despite his succession of ducks since he has won the toss an incredible four times,if you include the Twenty 20 international cricket match

Our predictions were correct! India win Twenty 20 vs South Africa!

India have won their inaugural Twenty 20 international cricket match against South Africa.

We had predicted India's win in the Twenty 20 international cricket . Hooray for GameCricket.com again!
