Is VVS Laxman being victimized by the Indian cricket selectors?
Apart from VVS Laxman, we have seen comebacks from most of India's veteran stalwarts such as Anil Kumble and Saurav Ganguly in India's one day international cricket team.
Why isnt Laxman being allowed to make a comeback to the Indian cricket team?
Laxman has been India's great cricket warrior- even apart from the famous 281 not out against Australia, he has played some incredible test and one day cricket innings.
- Laxman has partnered Sachin and Dravid in four 250+ partnerships against Australia
- Laxman hit three one day international cricket series against Australia and Zimbabwe in one week.
- In India's recent tour of South Africa, Laxman hit critical knocks,often batting with the Indian cricket team's tail, to help the Indian cricket team to a respectable draw.
Laxman not selected for bad fielding? How stupid
Laxman has officially not been selected because of his bad fielding.Laxman is one of the Indian cricket team's best close fielders-doesnt the Indian cricket team at least need one good close-in fielder in Laxman at least in the initial stages of the game?

Agreed Ganesh --- VVS is a victim of Indian cricket Selectors..particulary the last bunch of jokers.
Lets see if the current 'bunch of Jokers' will use some head & select VVS for World cup.

If I was VVS Laxman & if I'm not selected for World cup --- I will stop playing all kind of cricket for India. Why should VVS care about providing his exceptional service to Indian Cricket when BCCI has dumped him ??? VVS was the top scorer/best average in 2003-04 in ODI's. I remember TimesofIndia writing a special article on VVS laxman on this -- and guess what, VVS was dumped in 2005. Only country like India can do this.
Again if I were VVS --- I will resign if not selected for WC, go to England play as long as I want, & then open a Training school (here in India/England) so that 'art of batting' can be passed on to next generation.

If VVS resigns (assuming that he is not selected for WC -- I'm not giving up hope yet) from all kind of Indian cricket, then you will see a BIG hole in test matches too.
From VVS historic knock in 2001 series against Australia, he has played critical role in winning/saving matches from 2001 until the latest against SA.
So, if he leaves ---then let this Dravid/Vengsarkar/Chappell/BCCI try to replace him with the YOUNG GUNS --- and see how they perform in the real cricket called 'TEST CRICKET'. I'm sure you will see India's decline in TEST rankings too & that to me will be a fitting reply from VVS for the treatment he is getting.
VVS --- Ball is in your court & not in BCCI hands.
HI, I think vvs laxman is going to be selected for th world cup this time.I think dilip vengsarkar is going to select him.Virender sehwag's place could be in jeoardy.Or he could replace dinesh kartik with laxman.I think if laxman is not selected then he should quit the one day game.But he should not quit from the tests.After the retirement of sachin tendulkar,rahul dravid and sourav ganguly in the coming months,laxman and virender sehwag will be the only seniors left.So laxman is the next captain of the Indian test team.That is a great achievement for him.He has a very good capataincy ability and he can win matches for India.And he may be included for the one dayers later on.But he should not be disappointed now.He can utilize the time available to play for an england county and can prove his batting there.
