Ramesh Powar is not flamboyant or smart- he does his job of off-spin bowling extremely well,but does not give controversial television interviews or mocks the opposing batsmen like some of the so-called new generation bowlers such as Sreesanth.

That is probably Ramesh Powar's tragedy- he is not a larger than life figure,who is suited for many advertisements.There is no appreciation these days for a person like Ramesh Powar who only does his job extremely well
