Sachin Tendulkar should play the 2011 cricket World cup

Sachin Tendulkar should play the 2011 cricket World cup

Sachin Tendulkar has been the mainstay of the Indian cricket team for the last seventeen years. Emotionally, it hurts me when people, instigated by self-styled cricket Gurus and their various siblings, ask for Sachin Tendulkar's retirement

Sachin Tendulkar has given up so much for Indian cricket that the Indian cricket fans are just not being fair

Sachin Tendulkar is still Indian one day cricket's best player

Despite Sachin Tendulkar's past achievements,I would be the first to agree that Sachin Tendulkar should retire from Indian cricket, if there is a better player in India to replace him

The point is that there is no Indian cricket player as good as Sachin Tendulkar in the country.Arguably, Rahul Dravid is a better batsman than Sachin Tendulkar but Rahul Dravid's recent one day international cricket record is quite poor

Also,Sachin Tendulkar bowls ten overs of his medley of off spin, leg spin and medium pace in every one day international cricket match. Sachin Tendulkar, the spinner, is often a better bowler than even Anil Kumble on a turning track

In summary, for Sachin Tendulkar to be replaced, Indian cricket needs a cricketer who bats at a one day international cricket average of 43 and bowls during the opposition's slog overs

Sachin Tendulkar should keep playing for India, until a better Indian player replaces him

Ian Chappell's argument that Sachin Tendulkar should retire, since Brian Lara is apparently better than him, is a stupid argument. Sachin Tendulkar needs to play as long as he can contribute to Indian cricket and no better Indian cricketer can replace him
