Who is Ian Chappell to tell Sachin to retire?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Indian cricket

Every jerk in the country and outside seems to think that there is something wrong with Indian cricket and "something" needs to be done about it

The BCCI needs to avoid this precise knee jerk stupid reaction to Indian cricket

Who is Ian Chappell to tell Sachin to retire

Ian Chappell is just another smart guy who says something controversial and keeps himself in the news (and gets invited by the stupid Indian media) for his "insightful" (ha!) comments.

There is nothing wrong with Sachin Tendulkar- he is playing perfectly well. Look at Sachin Tendulkar's average over the last year and you will see that Sachin Tendulkar's average is better than even Ricky Ponting's average. Surprised? You should be surprised , given the nonsense that the Indian media is feeding you

Inzamam said it best-the subcontinent's media does not support the teams

Look at the way the Australian media reacts to every Australian cricket team's loss. The Australian loss is always either blamed on the umpiring, the bad pitch or the hostile overseas crowds! The Australian cricketers can do absolutely nothing wrong

In contrast, the Indian media would criticize even a match winning innings by Sachin Tendulkar- he didn't rotate the strike , for example.

Look at Ian Chappell's criticism of Sachin Tendulkar's almost match winning double hundred against Australia- he criticizes Sachin for not using his talent, but using sheer determination and focus to score runs. The same Ian Chappell is now saying that Sachin lacks determination but has talent..Please dont listen to these so-called Gurus - including the current Australian coach of Indian cricket

Remember, there was nothing wrong with the batting averages of Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri and the umpteen Mumbai players who kept representing India despite never winning matches for India.

I think we don't want Records, we want wins that Saurav and Lara have so proudly brought to their countries. We don't want great man doing average batting, we want average man doing great batting.

Mr. Kalidas, you are absolutely welcome to your views if u think Sachin should be sacked and your interpretation of Sachin's cool statistics.

But it always disappoints me when people refer to chauvinistic tags such as "Mumbai players". Maybe, that chauvinistic attitude is the key reason India is not winning too many team games
