Sachin Tendulkar is 35 today-What the world thinks of Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar - what people are saying about Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar turns 35 today and a good way to appreciate what Sachin has achieved for Indian cricket is to read what other cricketers, mostly his opponents have said about him

"Sachin Tendulkar was destined to be a great" -Barry Richards.

"Sachin Tendulkar is 99.5 percent perfect. I'd pay to see him" - Viv Richards.

"Don't bowl Sachin Tendulkarbad balls, he hits the good ones for fours - Michael Kasprowicz.

"It's scary, where the hell do we bowl to Sachin" -Allan Border

.

"There is no shame being beaten by such a great player as Sachin Tendulkar. We didn't lose to
Team India. We Lost to Sachin Tendulkar" -Steve Waugh.

"If I've to bowl to Sachin, I'll bowl with my helmet on. He hits the ball so hard" - Dennis Lillee.

"I'd like to see Sachin go out and bat one day with a stump. I tell you he'd do okay" -Greg Chappell.

"Cricketers like Sachin come once in a lifetime and I am privileged he played in my time" - Wasim Akram.

"The pressure on me is nothing as compared to Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin,
like God, must never fail. The crowd always expects him (Sachin Tendulkar) to succeed and it
is too much pressure on him" -Mark Waugh

"Everybody gets 15 minutes of fame. But if there's one person I've admired over a 15-year of period, it's definitely Sachin." - Brian Lara

"I'll be going to bed having nightmares of Sachin just running down the wicket and belting me back over the head for six. He was unstoppable. I don't think anyone, apart from Don Bradman, is in the same class as Sachin Tendulkar. He is just an amazing player" -Shane Warne.

"I saw Sachin Tendulkar playing on television and was struck by his technique, so I asked my wife to come look at him. Now I never saw myself play, but I feel that this player is playing much the same as I used to play, and she looked at him on Television and said yes, there is a similarity between the two... his compactness, technique, stroke production... it all seemed to gel" -Sir Donald Bradman.

"In an over I can bowl six different balls. But then Sachin looks at me with a sort of gentle arrogance down the pitch as if to say 'Can you bowl m another one?'" - Adam Hollioke

Sachin Tendulkar is cricket's God? Barry Richards.

You might pitch a ball on the off stump and think you have bowled a good ball and Sachin Tendulkar walks across and hits it for two behind midwicket. His bat looks so heavy but he just waves it arounad like it's a toothpick? -Brett Lee

You have to decide for yourself whether you're bowling well or not. Sachin Tendulkar's going to hit you for fours and sixes anyway? -Micheal Kasprowicz

Technically, you can't fault Sachin. Seam or spin, fast or slow ? nothing is a problem? -Geoffrey Boycott.

Sachin Tendulkar's life seems to be a stillness in a frantic world... [When he goes out to bat], it is beyond chaos - it is a frantic appeal by a nation to one man. The people see him as a God... ? Mathew Hayden, on Sachin Tendulkar.

I (Embarrassed laugh) am a normal person who plays cricket. I am nothing more than that? Sachin Tendulkar, on being told of above quote.

"The fact of the matter is that India still need Sachin in a big way. All this talk of the youngsters taking over is very foolish. The reason why Tendulkar is so important for the team is because of his ability to inspire others and make them perform under pressure" - In the "Times of India" of the infamous "End"ulkar fame

"Sachin has everything a top batsman needs. Tendulkar is a classic example of a player being so good that his age is an irrelevance" Akram says in his autobiography titled "Wasim". He also stated a number of examples when he and his team were frustrated by Tendulkar's batting prowess.

David Boon "Technically Sachin Tendulkar stands out as the best because of his ability to increase the pace at will"

Ted Dexter: (who chaired the panel, the Coopers & Lybrand award as the International Test player of the year)
"This year Tendulkar has been the batsman nobody wanted to bowl at. He took Shane Warne apart in India, which illustrates his genius."

M. L. Jaisimha "The more I see of Sachin Tendulkar the more confused I'm getting to which is his best knock."

Cricket Historian Vasant Raiji "I have always felt C. K. Nayadu was the best. I now think Sachin has the honour of being the most outstanding batsman of all time."

Mike Selvey
"Tendulkar is the supreme right hander on the planet, a focussed technician who offers a counterpoint to Brian Lara's more eye catching destruction."

Jeff Thompson "Sachin is an attacker. He has much more power than Sunny. He wants to be the one to set the pace. He has to be on top. That's the buzz about him."

Asif Iqbal: (after India won at Sharjah)
"He has given a new dimension to batting. Such dominance can break the heart of the best of bowlers. I was never tired of watching this wonderful batsman."

Peter Roebuck "Sometime back I had written a piece that said that Sachin's the master and Lara a genius with his head high up somewhere. That's it."

Steve Waugh "You take Don Bradman away and he is next up I reckon."

"It was one of the greatest innings I have ever seen. There is no shame being beaten by such a great player, Sachin is perhaps only next to the Don''.

"When it comes to judging the best among these fabulous band of batsmen, my vote goes to Tendulkar. He has an uncanny ability to come out on top under different circumstances and under different conditions, whether it is Test cricket or one day internationals. And more importantly, he has done this so young. "
Allan Border: (after India won the Coca-Cola cup in Sharjah)
"Hell, if he stayed, even at 11 an over he would have got it."

Greg Chappell , who successfully destroyed India's chances in the last World cup says "He is a perfectly balanced batsman and knows perfectly well when to attack and when to play defensive cricket. He has developed the ability to treat bowlers all over the world with contempt and can destroy any attack with utmost ease. "

Tony Greig "He is cool, has magnificent temperament, and is so mature you tend to forget his age. I can't think of any other example of a player who has so dominated the world before the age of 25."

Paul Strang "What we (Zimbabwe) need is 10 Tendulkars."

Australian Media "The most exciting batsman of his time because he finds the right balance between reason and passion, technique and power, nerves and placement and judgement that applies to all tastes."

Gary Kirsten as Indian cricket coach- insult for Indian cricket coaches

Gary Kirsten 's selection as Indian cricket coach is an insult to indigenous Indian cricket coaches

Gary Kirsten has been selected as the Indian cricket coach. This is nothing short of an open insult to all the coaches of Indian cricket

There is incredible coaching talent in India and it is a sad mockery of Indian cricket that people like Gary Kirsten are selected and great coaches like Sandeep Patil and Achrekar are in the wilderness

Gary Kirsten has no cricket coaching experience

Gary Kirsten has no cricket coaching experience and has been selected as the Indian cricket coach but renowned coaches like Sandeep Patil who successfully coached the Kenyan cricket team to the World cup cricket semifinals are repeatedly ignored

The BCCI obviously likes Gary Kirsten for his "lack of experience"!

Gary Kirsten has made a lot of derogatory remarks about India and its culture

Gary Kirsten 's remarks indicate that he will never integrate into the Indian cricket team or understand the Indian cricket culture. Gary Kirsten has subjected the Indian secondary towns to great criticism and this will obviously not go well with most of the Indian cricket team , who come from small Indian towns

I can bet that Gary Kirsten 's tenure will be short and will do as much damage to Indian cricket as Greg Chappell 's tenure as Indian cricket coach

Greg Chappell 's big mouth blabbers more

Greg Chappell continues with his hypocritical ways and his ability to talk crap

Greg Chappell has an expert ability to be political and hypocritical

In a recent outburst, Greg Chappell spewed more venom on his latest victims , the Indian "senior" players. Greg Chappell blamed the BCCI's selection of the "senior" players the main cause of India's defeat at the World cup cricket tournament 2007

In fact, Greg Chappell says he was sure that the Indian cricket team would lose even before the team left for the cricket World cup.So much for Greg Chappell's man management skills!

Greg Chappell also poured more venom on the "Indian cultural mindset" by saying that Saurav Ganguly expected a lot in return for recommending a snake like Greg Chappell

Despite Saurav Ganguly great leadership capabilities and people management capabilities, Saurav Ganguly obviously had to pay the price for recommending a snake like Greg Chappell to be Indian cricket coach and doing the Indian cricket world such as disfavor

Greg Chappell is sure of one thing, it is never Greg Chappell 's fault

Greg Chappell is never at fault, it is always someone else's fault for this so-called "guru". Sometimes, Greg Chappell finds the BCCI as the villain, at times it is the Indian selection panel and nowadays the flavor of the month is the Indian senior cricket players

Greg Chappell is so un-Australian in nature

Its absolutely wrong to classify Greg Chappell as personifying the "Australian way of playing cricket". The Australian way of playing cricket is to be open, honest and blunt in all talk and taking every decision.

"Blaming others all the time" is only the Chappell way, not the Australian way!

Greg Chappell (Coach)

Pakistan cricket team play too defensive and settle for a draw

The Pakistan cricket team waste a great opportunity to set a world record in Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket test at Lahore

Shoaib Malik's Pakistan cricket team played too defensively to settle for a draw in the Pakistan Vs South Africa test cricket match at Lahore

Younis Khan's brilliant century was wasted as the Pakistan cricket team did not try to force a win in Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket team

Younis Khan made an amazingly fluent century in the Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket match at Lahore, but Pakistan seemed more caught up in the occasion of the great man Inzamam's retirement to bother about saving the cricket test series against South Africa

The Pakistan cricket team under Shoaib Malik for the Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket series seems to lack confidence

The Pakistan cricket team , under Shoaib Malik, surely is one of the most talented cricket teams in the world, but seems to lack the confidence. Any other cricket team would have made an attempt to square the Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket series, but the Pakistan cricket team decided to settle for a tame draw and gave a great chance of squaring the cricket series

Surely, Geoff Lawson seems to be another cricket coach, who is not doing his job of motivating the cricket team

Sounds familiar? Lets hope Geoff Lawson doesn't indulge in Pakistan cricket Board politics as well, like his counterpart erstwhile coach of the Indian cricket team, the self-styled "Guru" Greg Chappell

Sachin Tendulkar,Sachin Tendulkar is not a match winner anymore?

sachin tendulkar
Originally uploaded by chowdh60

Sachin Tendulkar was, is and will be a match winner for the Indian cricket team

Sachin Tendulkar is God. I am obviously a die hard Sachin Tendulkar cricket fan, and get amazed by Sachin Tendulkar's ability to take criticism from the cricket fans of his own country

Sachin Tendulkar is a victim of the "argumentative Indian"

Sachin Tendulkar scored a match winning knock of 91 runs against the England cricket team and was undone only by Simon Taufel, the umpire. Despite this match winning knock by Sachin Tendulkar, sections of the Indian media, and armchair enthusiasts in India criticize Sachin for his "slow" knock of 91

Sachin Tendulkar was criticized earlier by Ian Chappell

At the height of Sachin Tendulkar's dispute with Greg Chappell, Ian Chappell suggested that Sachin Tendulkar should retire, citing Sachin Tendulkar's knock of 241 not out against the Australian cricket team as being "too careful".

Sachin Tendulkar has endured a lot of such criticism in his test career but Ian Chappell's reasoning for Sachin's retirement was the most stupid

Only the opposing international cricket teams must be eagerly awaiting Sachin Tendulkar's retirement

Teams such as the England cricket team, the Australian cricket team and the Sri Lankan cricket team must be hoping that Sachin Tendulkar retires soon, but criticism from the Indian cricket fan is stupid

Geoff Lawson,Pakistan cricket board makes another coaching mistake

Geoff Lawson selected by Pakistan cricket board as Pakistan cricket coach

Geoff Lawson is the only cricket coach that the Pakistan cricket board could find to fill the void left by Woolmer's death

Geoff Lawson? Hey, wait a minute, Geoff Lawson has no coaching experience and does not even qualify as a cricket coach

Geoff Lawson's appointment tells us how stupid Indian and Pakistan cricket boards are to appoint foreign coaches

Geoff Lawson is now the Pakistan cricket coach. We are talking about the Pakistan cricket team not the Scotland cricket team, for God's sake

Pakistan has a rich cricket tradition spanning across decades,so it is amazing that the Pakistan cricket board could not find any one former Pakistan player, leave alone a coach for the Pakistan cricket team.

Selecting people like Geoff Lawson is an insult to former Pakistan and Indian cricketers and coaches

Indian and Pakistan cricket boards seem to have a low opinion of former cricketers of their own countries as cricket coaches. What is scary is that the Indian and Pakistan cricket boards do not seem to learn from the Greg Chappell and the Woolmer debacles when the cultures of the coach and the players just did not match

By selecting Geoff Lawson, the Pakistan cricket board have really lowered the bar

Based on Geoff Lawson's selection as Pakistan cricket coach, trust the Indian cricket board to compete by coming up with another weird selection for the post of Indian cricket coach. Who will the Indian cricket board select this time? Thomson?

Why Graham Ford refused to be Indian cricket coach?

Graham Ford has refused BCCI's offer to be Indian cricket coach

Graham Ford is definitely one of the world's most intelligent cricket coaches. In fact, by refusing BCCI's offer to become the Indian cricket coach, Graham Ford has reaffirmed his stature as one of cricket's best thinkers

The Indian cricket team coach's position is an invitation to a cesspool

Graham Ford obviously realized that the Indian cricket coach's positions is a dangerous one, with the pressures of the Indian media, the huge expectations from the Indian cricket loving public and the interference from the cricket board, the BCCI

Even Greg Chappell was successful in the position of Indian cricket coach for some time, despite his obvious shortcomings, but soon sunk deep inside the quagmire

The Indian cricket team needs a cricket manager, not a cricket coach

As Kapil Dev pointed out many times, the Indian cricket team needs a cricket manager and not a cricket coach. Ye, BCCI gurus, at least now, heed the words of Kapil Dev, India's most astute cricket hand, and appoint a cricket manager who will only motivate but not attempt to coach

Graham Ford has smartly evaded the offer to be Indian cricket coach, but who will be the next victim of the BCCI?

Mahendra Singh Dhoni- The next Sachin Tendulkar?

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is already the best Indian wicketkeeper batsman ever. Mahendra Singh Dhoni could

Mahendra Singh Dhoni needs to bat at number 3

The only reason Mahendra Singh Dhoni is batting at number 7 is that wicketkeepers usually bat at number 7. :-)
Its stupid that Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a match winner is batting late in the batting order. The earlier self-styled "Guru" coach of the
Indian cricket team,Mr. Greg Chappell, was really underutilizing Dhoni's potential

If Mahendra Singh Dhoni is really among the top ten batsmen in the world, Dhoni should bat up the order,at number 3.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni needs the support of the Indian cricket captain and coach

Players with raw talent like Mahendra Singh Dhoni need the support of the Indian cricket coach and captain.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been underutilized so far in his career and needs to be given ample opportunities so that he can play
to his potential

Mahendra Singh Dhoni's greatest worry- satisfying the expectations of the Indian cricket fan

The Indian cricket fan expects Mahendra Singh Dhoni to hit a century in every match and a six of every ball.

As Sachin Tendulkar has found out, much to his chagrin, one failure in an important match can wipe off all of Mahendra Singh Dhoni's greatest
achievements

Its easier for Mahendra Singh Dhoni to play Brett Lee than satisfy the Indian cricket fan

India Vs Bangladesh live cricket series

India Vs Bangladesh live one day cricket series in Bangladesh Predictions

The Indian cricket team is on its way to Bangladesh to play in the India Vs Bangladesh cricket series. Rahul Dravid is leading the Indian cricket team devoid of Sachin Tendulkar and Saurav Ganguly for the one day cricket series

Its stupid to drop Sachin Tendulkar for the India Vs Bangladesh one day crickets series

It is definitely a crazy decision to drop Sachin Tendulkar for the India Vs Bangladesh cricket series. The BCCI is plain stupid to not include Sachin Tendulkar for the India Vs Bangladesh one day cricket series- I dont mind superstars being dropped, but to drop Sachin Tendulkar without a proper replacement is dumb

Is there anybody in India apart from Sachin Tendulkar who can bowl ten overs of spin or seam bowling in almost every cricket match and also average 44 runs at almost a run a ball?

The selection of the Indian cricket team for the India Vs Bangladesh cricket series proves that the Pawar led BCCI is far worse than Dalmiya's BCCI

Under Pawar, the BCCI seems to be focused on killing the proverbial golden goose. The Indian cricket fan is slowly losing its appetite for Indian cricket

While the lack of public interest for the India Vs Bangladesh cricket series is a good sign for sports like soccer and hockey in India, it is sad that Indian cricket which successfully challenged the Australian cricket team in India and Australia has been reduced to this state

Hooray, for Greg Chappell for messing the Indian cricket team so much that a India Vs Bangladesh cricket series seems interesting

Talk about Greg Chappell's contribution to world cricket that even a India Vs Bangladesh cricket series in now interesting and possibly a close contest.

India Vs Bangladesh cricket series - Prediction- India should win but barely

The Indian cricket team should win the India Vs Bangladesh one day cricket series. The Bangladesh cricket pitches are typically very slow and traditionally do not aid fast bowlers like Moshrafe Mortaza and this is good news for the Indian cricket team in the India Vs Bangladesh cricket series

In summary, the Indian cricket team should barely win the India Vs Bangladesh cricket series, but it wont be easy without Sachin Tendulkar

Send Greg Chappell to Sri Lanka

Send Greg Chappell to Sri Lanka-The Australian cricket solution

The Australian cricket think-tank is in a serious quandary. The Sri Lankan cricket team is getting better and can seriously challenge the Australian cricket team soon

Coach Buchanan comes up with a great idea. "Hey, lets play the Greg Chappell trick again- This time on the Sri Lankan cricket team"

The Greg Chappell trick- how the Indian cricket team was vanquished

The Indian cricket team under Saurav Ganguly was almost threatening to eject the Australian cricket team from the top spot. The Indian cricket team actually tied the India Vs Australia cricket series in Australia 1-1, and Australia had to struggle with the help of Parthiv Patel and the umpires to save the last test

That's when Buchanan figured out the first phase of the Greg Chappell trick- Send Greg Chappell as coach to the Indian cricket team

This information was leaked to us by sources close to the former Indian coach

Lasith Malinga- Is Malinga the next hope for Sri Lanka?

Lasith Malinga is the next hope for the Sri Lankan cricket team

Lasith Malinga has amazed the cricketing world by taking four wickets off four balls. Lasith Malinga truly has prodigious talent and is sure to be a force for the Sri Lankan cricket team

Does Lasith Malinga throw?

Lasith Malinga has a sling arm action that is unique and rather funny- but is definitely not a throw. Lasith Malinga's arm definitely does not bend enough to qualify as a throw.

Is Lasith Malinga prone to injuries?

Lasith Malinga's sling arm action makes him really prone to injuries. Lasith Malinga is currently down with an injury for at least two weeks and may have to change his bowling action in the near future to avoid further injuries

Would a coach like Greg Chappell allowed Lasith Malinga to keep his bowling action?

Greg Chappell would probably have forced Lasith Malinga to change his bowling action immediately and not allowed a talent like Malinga to emerge in the first place. There is really too much coaching these days and less opportunities for genuine talents to emerge

Greg Chappell has fooled the Indian cricket board,BCCI

Greg Chappell seems to have completely fooled the Indian cricket board-the BCCI

Greg Chappell is now looked upon as a sincere "Guru" whose professionalism is worth appreciating. The only thing professional about Greg Chappell is his professional bungling of his job as coach of the Indian cricket team.

Mr. Pawar, are you aware that Greg Chappell insulted the Indian cricket spectators

Greg Chappell actually openly insulted the Indian cricket spectators by using an abusive gesture. If Greg Chappell had done this to an Australian cricket crowd, the Australian cricket crowd would have lynched Greg Chappell and the Australian cricket media would have ensured that Greg Chappell was permanently out of a job

Mr. Pawar, would you have censured Greg Chappell if he had insulted Indian cricket crowds in Maharashtra?

Greg Chappell has taken Indian cricket for a ride for the last two years, and sadly, the BCCI is still encouraging Greg Chappell

Cricket-Greg Chappell's email to his wife leaked to media?

Greg Chappell's email to his wife may have been leaked to media, per sources

A source close to the Indian coach has informed segments of the media that one of Greg Chappell's emails to his wife may have been leaked to the media. Some sources, close to the coach, claim that the leak of the email may be as a result of a habit of sending important confidential emails to his media friends, rather than any deliberate leak of the email to the Indian media

The email leak controversy rages and is expected to escalate the current controversy

Who else could have leaked this email? Our sources close to the coach also point out the coach himself is unlikely to have leaked the email, since he is the epitome of sincerity. In fact, the sources suggest that a coach who has not made a single mistake in his reign as Indian cricket coach (it was always someone else's mistake) could not have made this simple blunder

In fact, this email leak could be attributed to a number of sources such as the Indian Internet services provider or certain search engine such as Google, acting in collusion with certain senior members of the Indian cricket team

Greg's brother Ian Chappell also could not be reached- per our sources close to the coach, Ian may have been busy calling for other Indian senior cricketers to retire, acting in isolation and with absolutely no prodding from the Indian cricket coach

Please take this blog post in the spirit of April Fool's day and definitely not take it seriously (despite what our sources close to the Indian cricket team say)

Indian cricket's scourge,Greg Chappell-An expert blame game consultant

Chappell now blames the entire list of senior Indian cricketers

Chappell is a "blame-game" expert. This time, Greg Chappell is blaming Yuvraj,Sachin,Sourav and every other "senior" cricketer for opposing his "royal" word

Greg Chappell has a secure career as a blame game consultant

Greg Chappell will hopefully be thrown out of Indian cricket, if the BCCI is serious about "saving" Indian cricket.

Greg Chappell need not worry about his career, he can easily get a job in any industry as a "blame game" consultant. In his stint as coach of the Indian cricket team, he first blamed Saurav Ganguly, then abused the Calcutta crowds, and finally is now blaming the entire set of Indian senior cricketers such as Yuvraj,Sachin,Sourav and Sehwag

My humble recommendation for Indian cricket-Sack Greg Chappell immediately

Who is Ian Chappell to tell Sachin to retire?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Indian cricket

Every jerk in the country and outside seems to think that there is something wrong with Indian cricket and "something" needs to be done about it

The BCCI needs to avoid this precise knee jerk stupid reaction to Indian cricket

Who is Ian Chappell to tell Sachin to retire

Ian Chappell is just another smart guy who says something controversial and keeps himself in the news (and gets invited by the stupid Indian media) for his "insightful" (ha!) comments.

There is nothing wrong with Sachin Tendulkar- he is playing perfectly well. Look at Sachin Tendulkar's average over the last year and you will see that Sachin Tendulkar's average is better than even Ricky Ponting's average. Surprised? You should be surprised , given the nonsense that the Indian media is feeding you

Inzamam said it best-the subcontinent's media does not support the teams

Look at the way the Australian media reacts to every Australian cricket team's loss. The Australian loss is always either blamed on the umpiring, the bad pitch or the hostile overseas crowds! The Australian cricketers can do absolutely nothing wrong

In contrast, the Indian media would criticize even a match winning innings by Sachin Tendulkar- he didn't rotate the strike , for example.

Look at Ian Chappell's criticism of Sachin Tendulkar's almost match winning double hundred against Australia- he criticizes Sachin for not using his talent, but using sheer determination and focus to score runs. The same Ian Chappell is now saying that Sachin lacks determination but has talent..Please dont listen to these so-called Gurus - including the current Australian coach of Indian cricket

Mr. Rajan Bala, do you hate Indian cricket?

Mr.Rajan Bala, the "esteemed" sports columnist seems to hate the Indian cricket team

Mr.Rajan Bala, do you support India or "Greg Chappell"?. I understand that Mr. Greg Chappell is a close buddy of yours and has supported your journalist career by leaking information about Indian cricket at the right time and giving you "juicy" insights into the Indian cricket team

But hey, you seem to be supporting a self-styled "Guru", who has systematically destroyed Indian cricket and criticizing the Indian cricketers who are heart-broken that their country has not qualified for the cricket World cup

Kick Mr. Greg Chappell out of Indian cricket

To be fair to Greg Chappell,Greg Chappell has not deliberately destroyed Indian cricket. Greg Chappell just seems to be incompetent and amazingly has no repentence for his stupid experiments with the Indian cricket team.Greg Chappell's experiments meant that no one in the Indian cricket team was ever aware of his presence in the team and definitely not his batting position

Mr.Rajan Bala, your friendship is worthy of being recorded in posterity, but please dont put your friendship before Indian cricket

Sack Greg Chappell from Indian cricket team Now

Greg Chappell should be sacked as Indian cricket team's coach job Now

The Indian cricket authorities are too tolerant of Greg Chappell's antics and blame games. The Indian cricket board should see thru the so-called Guru Greg's antics and fire Greg Chappell immediately

Greg Chappell - an expert at blame games

Not only does Greg Chappell seem to be a great control freak but also adept at blame games. Apparently, Greg Chappell has spoken to Rajan Bala and told Rajan that Greg Chappell is not to blame for the woes afflicting the Indian cricket team-This time , the Indian cricket team's problems are the fault of the entire Indian senior players, including Dravid,Sehwag,Sachin and Saurav

Greg Chappell goes on to suggest that the ever-failing Suresh Raina should have been in the Indian cricket team- Yeah, let sycophants be part of the Indian cricket team

It is never Greg Chappell's fault

In Greg Chappell warped brain, it is never his own fault- first it was Saurav Ganguly's fault, then the fault of the Indian cricket media, now its the fault of the entire Indian senior cricketers

Repair the damage to the Indian cricket team by firing Greg Chappell now!

Greg Chappell, last "foreign" coach for Indian cricket?

Greg Chappell should be the last foreign coach for the Indian cricket team

I am not being chauvinistic when I say that Greg Chappell should be the last truly "foreign" coach for Indian cricket.

When I mentioned "foreign", I was referring to Greg Chappell's inability to understand Indian culture and try to work within the mindset of the Indian cricket team, the Indian cricket fans and the Indian cricket media

Unlike Greg Chappell, John Wright was almost an "Indian" coach

Unlike Greg Chappell,John Wright was loved and respected by the Indian cricket team members, since John Wright knew and understood the cultural sensitivies of the Indian cricket team.

The Australian methods of motivation employed by Greg Chappell were bound to fail with the Indian cricket team. Just look at John Wright's performance with the Indian cricket team - a World cup finals, beating the Australian cricket team in India and drawing against the Australian cricket team in Australia

Greg Chappell and maybe Sunny, need to learn from Steve Waugh's comments

Greg Chappell should learn from Steve Waugh's insightful comments about the cultural differences between the Indian and Australian cricket teams. Steve Waugh has rather insightfully pointed out to the respect expected by the Indian senior cricket players, the class differences apparent in the Indian cricket team's inability to carry their own kit and more

Whats more, Greg Chappell should have realized that in any job, it doesnt make sense to abuse any stakeholders- Greg Chappell's rude behaviour against the Calcutta crowd should have been enough to have thrown him out of Indian cricket team.

No Australian crowd would have allowed Greg Chappell to remain coach after his rude behavior against the Calcutta crowds!

Well,Guru Greg Chappell is unlikely to do well in Australia either as a coach

Sack Greg Chappell from Indian cricket team

Greg Chappell should be sacked from the Indian cricket team

Greg Chappell should retire from coaching the Indian cricket team, in fact Greg Chappell should retire from coaching.Period

Dropping Greg Chappell - the best experiment

Greg Chappell, the self-styled "Guru",experimented with the Indian team and batting lineup for over 18 months- the Indian cricket board, should experiment with the coaching position now by dropping Greg Chappell

Greg Chappell seems quite shameless

While Inzamam and Woolmer resigned from their posts after Pakistan's quick exit from the cricket World cup,Greg Chappell seems very shameless and is still looking to extend his infamous stint with the Indian cricket team

Why does the Indian cricket board tolerate this rude, shameless and worthless coach?

As Kapil Dev remarked - Who is Greg Chappell and why is he given so much prominence

In short, the BCCI should get rid of Greg Chappell immediately and start re-building the Indian cricket team

Irfan Pathan's struggles- Who is responsible?

Irfan Pathan is currently struggling in the Indian cricket team

Irfan Pathan seems to reflect the song 'I am half the man I used to be'

Irfan Pathan is struggling in both bowling and batting departments and should count himself lucky to be in the Indian cricket team for the World cup cricket tournament

The Irfan Pathan mess - Who is really responsible?

Irfan Pathan seems to been made the scapegoat in a political mess. Who can explain the "sudden" drop of form, just days after Irfan Pathan landed a hattrick against the Pakistan cricket team

Who is responsible for the Irfan Pathan debacle- Could it be the same person who made Sourav Ganguly miss an important year of international cricket?

Irfan Pathan's struggles - Why dont the senior cricket players speak up

Irfan Pathan is one of the victims as a result of the frequent experimentation in the Indian cricket team in terms of the batting order, the bowling sequence and the team selection

Why dont the Indian senior players like Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid speak up against this stupid experimentation- Imagine if Sachin's new batting order is going to cut short his cricketing career!

My take on Irfan Pathan's so-called loss of form

Irfan Pathan is primarily a swing bowler and is deadly in the initial overs of a cricket match especially with the ball that curves into the middle stump from outside off.

Irfan was robbed of his opening bowling status and when he started bowling with less venom, the Indian cricket coach started criticizing Irfan Pathan in public and in the press. This criticism has obviously psychologically demoralized Irfan Pathan and led him to a downward spiral in international cricket

The moral of the Irfan Pathan story:Get rid of this cricket quack in charge of the Indian cricket team before he does any more damage to young cricketers

Greg Chappell-The Damage Guru Greg has caused Indian cricket

Greg Chappell has scarred the Indian cricket team

Greg Chappell's experimentation theory has damaged the careers of several members of the Indian cricket team

Greg Chappell's coaching seems to suggest that no Indian cricket player is secure in the Indian cricket team, even if the Indian cricket player is secure,he has no clue which batting number he will be batting at

Greg Chappell can take his experimentation elsewhere

When talking about Greg Chappell's experimentation, Kapil Dev said it best- Greg is free to take his experimentation elsewhere, but Greg should leave the Indian cricket team out of it

Greg Chappell does not practice the Australian way, either

Greg Chappell knows that the Australian cricket team hardly ever changes the batting order or the core Australian cricket team. Gilchrist has been opening the Australian cricket team's batting for ages and Ponting has always been playing at number 3 in the Australian cricket team

Whose side is Greg Chappell on when he makes these stupid changes in the Indian batting order?

Have you forgotten Greg Chappell's nastiness?

Greg Chappell has survived despite his inherent nastiness

  • Greg Chappell uttered nasty statements against Sourav Ganguly and mentioned that Sourav is playing solely for money

  • Greg Chappell's dirty gesture at Calcutta will not be forgotten

Greg Chappell survives due to the inherent niceness of the Indian cricket fan and the apathy of Indian cricket board

Kapil Dev's indomitable spirit-The Indian cricket team needs this

Kapil Dev-The greatest Indian cricketer ever

Kapil is,without a doubt, the greatest cricketer the Indian cricket team has ever produced

Kapil Dev's intense passion for the Indian cricket team, the dedication Kapil Dev showed, and his raw talent have no parallel in Indian cricket history

Kapil Dev- the world cup cricket tournament brings nostalgic memories

Kapil Dev was the Indian cricket' team's icon during the cricket World cup in 1983. Kapil Dev's catch of Vivian Richards and his 183 not out against Zimbabwe were the lasting images of the cricket World cup in 1983

Kapil Dev says "no" to stupid experimentation by Greg Chappell

Kapil Dev retains his passion for Indian cricket even after he has retired from international cricket. In a recent interview, Kapil Dev said that Greg Chappell is free to do his experimentation but not with
"his" Indian cricket team. The Indian cricket team needs a coach or manager who understands the Indian psyche or culture- not an Australian misfit who was not even a good coach for South Australia

A Kapil Dev like inspiring leader is needed for the Indian cricket team - not a goody-goody person like Dravid!

Cricket Australia will never choose a foreign cricket coach!

Cricket Australia will never choose a foreign cricket coach

Cricket Australia has just announced the appointment of Nielson as coach of the Australian national cricket team. Nielson was formerly Buchanan's assistant coach and played eight seasons for the South Australia cricket team

The Australian cricket team will always select an Australian cricket coach

Cricket Australia always selects an Australian as a national cricket coach, which believes in the 'Australian way' of playing cricket. There is no jingoism attached to selecting an Australian as the national coach, its just that Cricket Australia has selected a coach who understands cricket and also the Australian way of playing cricket.

Why don't Indian cricket selectors select Indian cricket coaches

The Indian cricket selectors are stupid enough to select foreign coaches who dont understand Indian and Asian culture. John Wright was smarter and quickly adapted himself to the Indian methods of coaching and motivation. Greg Chappell of course is a real failure, and has found it really hard to shed the Australian way, which is not accepted in India,in fact,Greg Chappell does not even seem to be trying

Cricket coaching is more about managing and motivation, not teaching

As Kapil Dev recently said, the job of a cricket coach is to motivate the cricket team,do you really think Greg 'Guru' or anybody else can advise a Sachin Tendulkar or a Rahul Dravid on playing the cover drive. The successful multinational corporations of the world believe in the 'Glocal' school of management- act local but think Global. You need to adopt the best global management practices but customize it to local culture.Pity,Greg Chappell has not taken any management classes. The end result - A struggle for the Indian cricket team who pretend to listen to the self-styled Guru Chappell and then smirk behind Chappell's back
