Rahul Dravid destined for cricket oblivion? Was Rahul Dravid treatedwell by Indian cricket board?

Rahul Dravid has been dropped from the Indian cricket team for the first two matches of the India Vs Pakistan one day international cricket series

Rahul Dravid has been summarily "rested" by Dilip Vengsarkar 's Indian cricket selection board

Rahul Dravid 's dropping is a bizarre decision reeking of a witchhunt against the Indian cricketing legends in the search for "young" talent. Dilip Vengsarkar 's selection board committee has committed the mistake of a lifetime by dropping such as seasoned campaigner as Rahul Dravid in a crucial India Vs Pakistan cricket series

Rahul Dravid case suggests that in Indian cricket, "rested" usually means being dropped from the Indian cricket team indefinitely

Rahul Dravid has lived in the system of Indian cricket long enough to know that "rested" is a euphemism for being summarily dropped from the Indian cricket team for an indefinite period of time

Rahul Dravid 's case illustrates how Indian cricket continuously dishonours and denigrates its cricketing legends without even a proper sendoff, but employs euphemisms to prevent public indignation for the brutal dropping from the Indian national cricket team

Rahul Dravid may be in bad form but he is desperately needed in a crunch India Vs Pakistan cricket series

Rahul Dravid is a cool calculated cricketer who plays cricket using his determination and mental strength. Dropping a player like Rahul Dravid from the Indian cricket team for the India Vs Pakistan cricket series is nothing but hara-kiri

It was a crime and an insult to Indian cricket to "rest" Rahul Dravid from the Indian cricket team

The question on everyone's mind after Rahul Dravid was "rested"- Who will be rested next, Sachin Tendulkar or Saurav Ganguly?

Rahul Dravid

Sachin Tendulkar should play the 2011 cricket World cup

Sachin Tendulkar should play the 2011 cricket World cup

Sachin Tendulkar has been the mainstay of the Indian cricket team for the last seventeen years. Emotionally, it hurts me when people, instigated by self-styled cricket Gurus and their various siblings, ask for Sachin Tendulkar's retirement

Sachin Tendulkar has given up so much for Indian cricket that the Indian cricket fans are just not being fair

Sachin Tendulkar is still Indian one day cricket's best player

Despite Sachin Tendulkar's past achievements,I would be the first to agree that Sachin Tendulkar should retire from Indian cricket, if there is a better player in India to replace him

The point is that there is no Indian cricket player as good as Sachin Tendulkar in the country.Arguably, Rahul Dravid is a better batsman than Sachin Tendulkar but Rahul Dravid's recent one day international cricket record is quite poor

Also,Sachin Tendulkar bowls ten overs of his medley of off spin, leg spin and medium pace in every one day international cricket match. Sachin Tendulkar, the spinner, is often a better bowler than even Anil Kumble on a turning track

In summary, for Sachin Tendulkar to be replaced, Indian cricket needs a cricketer who bats at a one day international cricket average of 43 and bowls during the opposition's slog overs

Sachin Tendulkar should keep playing for India, until a better Indian player replaces him

Ian Chappell's argument that Sachin Tendulkar should retire, since Brian Lara is apparently better than him, is a stupid argument. Sachin Tendulkar needs to play as long as he can contribute to Indian cricket and no better Indian cricketer can replace him

Indian cricket team losing to Bangladesh in World cup cricket group match?

Indian cricket team is struggling against Bangladesh cricket in the World cup cricket Group match

The Indian cricket team is struggling at 125/4 off 37 overs against the unfancied Bangladesh cricket team

The Indian cricket batsmen were tentative to start with and soon lost Sehwag - playing without moving his feet again

Uthappa showed promise for the Indian cricket team but was soon out prodding at the ball outside the offstump

The Indian cricket batsmen are treating the cricket ball as if it is a live grenade

The Indian cricket team are running scared of the cricket ball and only gingerly touching the ball with the bat

The Indian cricket team soon lost Sachin Tendulkar as he tried to force the pace for a change, but his current amazing weakness against the spinners was exposed as he was caught behind of the foxy Rafique

Indian cricket team's only hope are Yuvraj and Dhoni in Group match against Bangladesh cricket team

Yuvraj Singh seems to be in fine form for the Indian cricket team and he seems to be the only hope for India along with Dhoni to follow next. Yuvraj and Dhoni need to power the Indian cricket team to a score of at least 225 runs to make a match of this India Vs Bangladesh Group match of the cricket world cup,2007

Indian cricket team could be out of the cricket World cup if they lose this opener against the Bangladesh cricket team and time is running out!

Bangladesh cricket team may beat India in World cup cricket Group Match

Indian cricket team may lose to Bangladesh cricket team in World cup cricket tournament

The Indian cricket team has a chance of losing the first Group match of the World cup cricket series in the West Indies. The Indian cricket team faces the Bangladesh cricket team who are no minnows to World cricket and appear to be in great form

Bangladesh cricket team could beat the Indian cricket team in the slow pitches of the Caribbean

The Indian cricket batsmen could struggle against the Bangladesh cricket team spinners such as Rafique who can exploit the slow pitches of the Caribbean and make the Indian cricket batsmen struggle

The Indian cricket team could face upto three spinners in the match against the Bangladesh cricket team at Trinidad

The Indian cricket team could be out of the World cup cricket tournament

The Indian cricket team should be careful not to lose against the Bangladesh cricket team. The Indian cricket team is obviously a better team than the Bangladesh cricket team but in a one-off match at the cricket World cup, surprises could occur.

The Indian cricket team should play their natural game and should win against the Bangladesh cricket team in the Group match of the cricket World cup

The Indian cricket team should not get bogged down against the Bangladesh cricket team or unnecessarily try to slog early. The Indian cricket team should realise that at most West Indian cricket pitches, 250 runs is the ideal cricket score that is quite hard to chase

An Indian cricket team with Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid should not lose in the first match of the World cup cricket tournament

The Indian cricket team have traditionally been slow starters in past World cup cricket tournaments , and should not let the expectations of the Indian supporters make them play an unnatural game. The Indian cricket team has experienced players such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble, and these great players should stand up and not let past mistakes happen

Irfan Pathan's struggles- Who is responsible?

Irfan Pathan is currently struggling in the Indian cricket team

Irfan Pathan seems to reflect the song 'I am half the man I used to be'

Irfan Pathan is struggling in both bowling and batting departments and should count himself lucky to be in the Indian cricket team for the World cup cricket tournament

The Irfan Pathan mess - Who is really responsible?

Irfan Pathan seems to been made the scapegoat in a political mess. Who can explain the "sudden" drop of form, just days after Irfan Pathan landed a hattrick against the Pakistan cricket team

Who is responsible for the Irfan Pathan debacle- Could it be the same person who made Sourav Ganguly miss an important year of international cricket?

Irfan Pathan's struggles - Why dont the senior cricket players speak up

Irfan Pathan is one of the victims as a result of the frequent experimentation in the Indian cricket team in terms of the batting order, the bowling sequence and the team selection

Why dont the Indian senior players like Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid speak up against this stupid experimentation- Imagine if Sachin's new batting order is going to cut short his cricketing career!

My take on Irfan Pathan's so-called loss of form

Irfan Pathan is primarily a swing bowler and is deadly in the initial overs of a cricket match especially with the ball that curves into the middle stump from outside off.

Irfan was robbed of his opening bowling status and when he started bowling with less venom, the Indian cricket coach started criticizing Irfan Pathan in public and in the press. This criticism has obviously psychologically demoralized Irfan Pathan and led him to a downward spiral in international cricket

The moral of the Irfan Pathan story:Get rid of this cricket quack in charge of the Indian cricket team before he does any more damage to young cricketers

Kapil Dev's indomitable spirit-The Indian cricket team needs this

Kapil Dev-The greatest Indian cricketer ever

Kapil is,without a doubt, the greatest cricketer the Indian cricket team has ever produced

Kapil Dev's intense passion for the Indian cricket team, the dedication Kapil Dev showed, and his raw talent have no parallel in Indian cricket history

Kapil Dev- the world cup cricket tournament brings nostalgic memories

Kapil Dev was the Indian cricket' team's icon during the cricket World cup in 1983. Kapil Dev's catch of Vivian Richards and his 183 not out against Zimbabwe were the lasting images of the cricket World cup in 1983

Kapil Dev says "no" to stupid experimentation by Greg Chappell

Kapil Dev retains his passion for Indian cricket even after he has retired from international cricket. In a recent interview, Kapil Dev said that Greg Chappell is free to do his experimentation but not with
"his" Indian cricket team. The Indian cricket team needs a coach or manager who understands the Indian psyche or culture- not an Australian misfit who was not even a good coach for South Australia

A Kapil Dev like inspiring leader is needed for the Indian cricket team - not a goody-goody person like Dravid!

"Rahul Dravid is not a great ODI cricket player"

Is Rahul Dravid a truly great ODI cricket player

"Rahul Dravid is not a good one day international cricket player"-This quote about Rahul Dravid was attributed to a former Indian cricketing great

In the years from 1996-2002,Rahul Dravid struggled in one day international cricket. Rahul Dravid could never find the gaps and often was guilty of either playing perfect defence or hitting the ball too hard, and unable to rotate the strike

Rahul Dravid is a truly great ODI player today

The greatness of Rahul Dravid is that he is now debatably one of the best one day international cricket players in the world. The great players like Rahul Dravid are not the ones who,by nature, excel at a certain type of game, but those who adapt and change their game to suit the requirements

Rahul Dravid- a player of many shades today

Rahul Dravid nowadays excels at consolidating the Indian cricket innings during the initial overs, rotating the strike during the middle overs and slogging the cricket ball all over the park during the end overs. Rahul Dravid is in short, a truly complete and great ODI cricket player

Rahul Dravid's improvement in ODI cricket

A look at Rahul Dravid's statistics over the years will show a marked improvement in his strike rate as the years progress and a reasonably good batting average. Rahul Dravid may have scored only 10,000 runs in ODI cricket, which is not a record compared to his peers such as Sachin Tendulkar, but his contributions in tight situations has been incredible and Indian cricket will always be proud of Rahul Dravid's achievements

Rahul Dravid - Three cheers to Rahul Dravid on completing 10,000 runs in ODI cricket

"Saurav Ganguly should be dropped from the Indian cricket team"

"Saurav Ganguly should be dropped from the Indian cricket team"

Didnt the so-called Guru Greg Chappell say this about Saurav Ganguly just ten months back? This was when Saurav Ganguly had made two knocks of 40+ on a seaming Karachi track

"Saurav Ganguly cannot play fast bowling and is technically poor"

Mr. so-called Guru,Greg Chappell made this allegation about Saurav Ganguly. Hasn't Saurav Ganguly has proved his point that class is permanent by making an incredible comeback against South Africa on seaming pitches and now against the West Indies

Saurav Ganguly saved Greg Chappell's job in South Africa

Saurav Ganguly managed to save the so-called guru, Mr. Greg Chappell's job by helping the Indian cricket team play a respectable series against South Africa. Isn't it ironic that Saurav Ganguly should save Greg Chappell's job?

Rahul Dravid should let Saurav Ganguly motivate the Indian cricket team

Saurav Ganguly should be allowed to mentor and motivate the Indian cricket team.Rahul Dravid needs to use Saurav Ganguly's great leadership skills to motivate the newcomers to the Indian cricket team

Saurav Ganguly has proved that so-called gurus and quacks should be sacked

Saurav Ganguly's return has made it very clear that people like Greg Chappell should not be allowed to coach the Indian cricket team. One wonders how many careers Greg Chappell has destroyed by his needless experimentation and cricket quack doctor solutions

Dravid's selection blunder may lead to India's loss

Rahul Dravid has made the selection blunder of his life in the deciding third test of the India Vs South Africa test series.

Not selecting Harbhajan Singh and selecting an injured Munaf Patel was the most stupid decision Rahul Dravid could have ever made. Dravid has missed Harbhajan even in South Africa's first innings, the limitations of having only one spinner on a truly turning track have been felt. Every time the dust came up when a spinner pitched a ball close to the rough,Rahul Dravid must be regretting his decision to drop Harbhajan Singh from the Indian cricket team

Rahul Dravid must be finding Munaf Patel an embarrassment to the Indian cricket team

Rahul Dravid has known that Munaf Patel cannot field and bat even in normal circumstances, but today,Rahul Dravid and the entire Indian cricket loving public probably figured out that Munaf Patel is too injured to even bowl in this crucial third and deciding test of the India Vs South Africa cricket series

Dravid must be cursing his decision to select Munaf Patel instead of Harbhajan since Munaf has been struggling to bowl even at 120 kmph with a new ball. It has been a ridiculous decision for Dravid and his Australian coach with weird ideas and India may live to regret the decision. On a cricket pitch tailor made for the Indian cricket team, India may still pull off an unexpected victory, but victory would have been really easy if Dravid had selected Harbhajan Singh
