Virender Sehwag ,the best captain that the Indian cricket captain neverhad

Virender (Virendra) Sehwag is the best cricket captain that the Indian cricket team never had

Virender or Virendra Sehwag is the inspirational captain of the Delhi Daredevils Twenty20 cricket team in the IPL.

Sehwag probably realizes that having an incredible cricket talent is often a liability as people start questioning his attitude and his style of batting as soon as he fails in a couple of innings

As a result, Sehwag , who has a sharp cricketing brain , a never-say-die attitude and an ability to get along with his teammate is never considered for the captaincy role

Not having Sehwag as captain is a great loss for Indian cricket

Sehwag is easily the best Indian test opening batsman after Sunil Gavaskar, and given his cool demeanour will not mind never being the captain of the Indian cricket team. But the Indian cricket team would have missed having this cool technician as the Indian cricket team 's captain

Sehwag ,with his earthy commonsense and great team building skills, would have been a great Indian cricket captain

The wide smiles of the Delhi Daredevils cricket team when they see Sehwag, demonstrate the trust Sehwag 's teammates have in their captain

What do you need from a cricket captain? Someone you could trust, someone who could motivate you when you are down and someone who truly cares about the Indian cricket team and wants it to succeed

Sehwag, as his stint with the Delhi Daredevils cricket team shows, satisfies all the above criteria, and should be given the mantle of captaincy of the Indian cricket team before his retirement

Inzamam treated badly by Pakistan cricket board

Inzamam Ul Haq should be treated better by the Pakistan cricket board

Inzamam Ul Haq has not been selected as one of the contracted players of the year by the Pakistan cricket board. Inzamam has been treated badly by the Pakistan cricket establishment again and this was the last nail in the coffin for Inzamam

Why cant Inzamam at least be given a hero's farewell by the Pakistan cricket board for his services to cricket?

Inzamam Ul Haq is being made a scapegoat for the Pakistan cricket team's world cup cricket debacle

Inzamam was of course the captain for the Pakistan cricket team in the cricket World cup. But, Inzamam was not the only cause for Pakistan's ignominious exit from the cricket World cup

Inzamam's past contributions to the Pakistan cricket team have been very conveniently forgotten. Very often, Inzamam was the only cricketer to stand up to the opposition in international one day and test cricket matches

Inzamam's treatment shows that Asian cricket teams do not know how to honour their heroes

Inzamam is but the latest cricket hero to be dump by an Asian cricket establishment. Right from the days of Gundappa Vishwanath, to Mohinder Amarnath, Indian and Pakistan cricket heroes have been unceremoniously dumped after a bad performance, without even standing up to applaud their past achievements

Inzamam should have perhaps learnt from Sunil Gavaskar and Imran Khan who probably understood this phenomenon best, and retired after an extraordinary cricket performance

Like Inzamam,Sachin Tendulkar is perhaps still at his best, but should he retire now to protect his post cricket career and reputation?

Sehwag-The importance of being Viru of Indian cricket

Sehwag-the importance of being Viru of the Indian cricket team

Sehwag is repeatedly being selected in the Indian cricket team for his "superhuman match winning skills".Is this hope of Sehwag putting up a match winning score justified to keeping him in the Indian cricket team indefinitely

Sehwag is another of the long procession of the Indian cricket team's superstars

Sehwag and the triumph of individual cricketing talent in the Indian cricket team

Sehwag epitomizes the importance of the "hero syndrome" affecting the idolizing Indian cricket spectators, selectors and other cricket followers

Before Sehwag, there was Sachin Tendulkar, before Sachin there were Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev-For every success, these Indian cricket stars like Sehwag are treated like Gods and dumped after every failure

Sehwag's importance and New Zealand's success

In comparison to Sehwag's individual talent, no one in the New Zealand cricket team has had super talent, apart from maybe Richard Hadlee, but the New Zealand cricket team has been reasonably successful in world cricket

There seems to be a virtue in not having great talent and the expectations the talent leads itself to
