Pakistan cricket team play too defensive and settle for a draw

The Pakistan cricket team waste a great opportunity to set a world record in Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket test at Lahore

Shoaib Malik's Pakistan cricket team played too defensively to settle for a draw in the Pakistan Vs South Africa test cricket match at Lahore

Younis Khan's brilliant century was wasted as the Pakistan cricket team did not try to force a win in Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket team

Younis Khan made an amazingly fluent century in the Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket match at Lahore, but Pakistan seemed more caught up in the occasion of the great man Inzamam's retirement to bother about saving the cricket test series against South Africa

The Pakistan cricket team under Shoaib Malik for the Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket series seems to lack confidence

The Pakistan cricket team , under Shoaib Malik, surely is one of the most talented cricket teams in the world, but seems to lack the confidence. Any other cricket team would have made an attempt to square the Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket series, but the Pakistan cricket team decided to settle for a tame draw and gave a great chance of squaring the cricket series

Surely, Geoff Lawson seems to be another cricket coach, who is not doing his job of motivating the cricket team

Sounds familiar? Lets hope Geoff Lawson doesn't indulge in Pakistan cricket Board politics as well, like his counterpart erstwhile coach of the Indian cricket team, the self-styled "Guru" Greg Chappell

Younis Khan brings Pakistan cricket team to brink of an historic win inPakistan Vs South Africa test match

Younis Khan's historic knock may lead to a historic win in Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket test match

Younis Khan is currently batting one of the best innings of his life in the Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket test match at Lahore

The Pakistan cricket team needed a world record 457 runs to win the Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket test. But, due to Younis Khan's impeccable century, the Pakistan cricket team now has a chance of beating South Africa in the cricket test match at Lahore

Younis Khan is batting on 126 not out and needs to play till the end to ensure Pakistan cricket team's win in the Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket test match

Younis Khan has always been acknowledged as a really stylish cricket player, but people have never recognized Younis Khan as a batsman who can score fast runs

Younis Khan has a golden opportunity to prove that he can not only score a lot of runs but can also score the runs fast. The Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket test match at Lahore will be decided by the ability of Younis Khan to not only anchor the Pakistan cricket team's innings but also score runs fast

A classy innings by Younis Khan is leading to an exciting cricket test at Lahore between Pakistan and South Africa

Inzamam treated badly by Pakistan cricket board

Inzamam Ul Haq should be treated better by the Pakistan cricket board

Inzamam Ul Haq has not been selected as one of the contracted players of the year by the Pakistan cricket board. Inzamam has been treated badly by the Pakistan cricket establishment again and this was the last nail in the coffin for Inzamam

Why cant Inzamam at least be given a hero's farewell by the Pakistan cricket board for his services to cricket?

Inzamam Ul Haq is being made a scapegoat for the Pakistan cricket team's world cup cricket debacle

Inzamam was of course the captain for the Pakistan cricket team in the cricket World cup. But, Inzamam was not the only cause for Pakistan's ignominious exit from the cricket World cup

Inzamam's past contributions to the Pakistan cricket team have been very conveniently forgotten. Very often, Inzamam was the only cricketer to stand up to the opposition in international one day and test cricket matches

Inzamam's treatment shows that Asian cricket teams do not know how to honour their heroes

Inzamam is but the latest cricket hero to be dump by an Asian cricket establishment. Right from the days of Gundappa Vishwanath, to Mohinder Amarnath, Indian and Pakistan cricket heroes have been unceremoniously dumped after a bad performance, without even standing up to applaud their past achievements

Inzamam should have perhaps learnt from Sunil Gavaskar and Imran Khan who probably understood this phenomenon best, and retired after an extraordinary cricket performance

Like Inzamam,Sachin Tendulkar is perhaps still at his best, but should he retire now to protect his post cricket career and reputation?

Geoff Lawson,Pakistan cricket board makes another coaching mistake

Geoff Lawson selected by Pakistan cricket board as Pakistan cricket coach

Geoff Lawson is the only cricket coach that the Pakistan cricket board could find to fill the void left by Woolmer's death

Geoff Lawson? Hey, wait a minute, Geoff Lawson has no coaching experience and does not even qualify as a cricket coach

Geoff Lawson's appointment tells us how stupid Indian and Pakistan cricket boards are to appoint foreign coaches

Geoff Lawson is now the Pakistan cricket coach. We are talking about the Pakistan cricket team not the Scotland cricket team, for God's sake

Pakistan has a rich cricket tradition spanning across decades,so it is amazing that the Pakistan cricket board could not find any one former Pakistan player, leave alone a coach for the Pakistan cricket team.

Selecting people like Geoff Lawson is an insult to former Pakistan and Indian cricketers and coaches

Indian and Pakistan cricket boards seem to have a low opinion of former cricketers of their own countries as cricket coaches. What is scary is that the Indian and Pakistan cricket boards do not seem to learn from the Greg Chappell and the Woolmer debacles when the cultures of the coach and the players just did not match

By selecting Geoff Lawson, the Pakistan cricket board have really lowered the bar

Based on Geoff Lawson's selection as Pakistan cricket coach, trust the Indian cricket board to compete by coming up with another weird selection for the post of Indian cricket coach. Who will the Indian cricket board select this time? Thomson?

Pakistan cricket team out of cricket World cup!

The Pakistan cricket team is out of the cricket World cup tournament,2007

Pakistan cricket team have lost to Ireland and are now out of the cricket World cup in the West Indies

Who can the Pakistan cricket spectators blame for the defeat of Pakistan?

Who should the Pakistan cricket loving public blame for the defeat of Pakistan in the cricket World cup? Is it the fault of Inzamam, who couldnt motivate his team, or Younis who couldnt accept the captaincy of Inzamam, Shahid Afridi, who got himself banned at a crucial time or Shoaib Akhtar and Asif, who missed a great World cup cricket opportunity

The Pakistan cricket loving public should put the blame squarely on the Pakistan cricket board!

The Pakistan cricket board deserves the blame for the debacle of the Pakistan cricket team not even reaching the Super Eights- the mess up with Shoaib and Asif, the lack of clarity on captaincy, and discipline issues with Bob Woolmer were the cause of the World cup cricket disaster

Cricket World cup shocker: India and Pakistan out of World cup cricket?

India and Pakistan are on the brink of being out of the World cup cricket tournament

The Indian cricket team has made 191 all out against the unfancied Bangladesh cricket team in the Group match of the cricket World cup

The Indian cricket team struggled on the slow pitch at Trinidad against both the pacemen such as Mortaza and spinners such as Rafique. The Indian cricket team seemed tentative and approached the cricket ball with undue respect and now find themselves with a small total to defend on a reasonably good pitch

Pakistan cricket team struggles against Ireland on a seamy pitch

The Pakistan cricket team is definitely on the brink of the biggest cricket disaster in their history - The Pakistan cricket team is now struggling at 130/9 off 43 overs against lowly Ireland, who have bowled like champions

The Pakistan cricket team however still has a chance in this key World cup cricket match since the pitch is seamer friendly and Umar Gul and Rao Iftikar could wreck havoc with the Ireland cricket team

World cup cricket 2007- Will the favored Pakistan and Indian cricket teams crash out of the cricket World cup?

Should Dhoni and Kamran Akmal be dropped?

Should Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kamran Akmal be dropped

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kamran Akmal are a cause of great debate. Imran Khan recently said that he is curious to see whether Dhoni or Kamran Akmal is the better wicketkeeper. Well, I would suggest Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kamran Akmal should be dropped from the national cricket teams of India and Pakistan as wicketkeepers

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kamran Akmal are good batsmen but poor wicketkeepers

I dont deny that Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kamran Akmal are great world class batsmen, but they are extremely poor wicketkeepers.Syed Kirmani has suggested that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a very poor wicketkeeper and I am sure that Kumble will agree for all the missed chances off his bowling. Both Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kamran Akmal do not seem to grasp the fundamentals of staying down low to spinners-

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kamran Akmal should first perform as wicketkeepers

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kamran Akmal should realize that their first day job is of wicketkeepers- Imagine if its the world cup final and Dhoni or Akmal drop either Kallis or Lara, their entire countries will rue the missed chance for the next four years

Was Shane Warne the greatest legspinner ever?

Was Shane Warne the great legspinner to have played cricket

Shane Warne was undoubtedly a great legspinner but was he the greatest? Certainly, a lot of young Australians do think that Shane Warne was the best legspinner ever, but older Australian cricket fans do think that Richie Benaud may have been a better legspinner

Some think Shane Warne was not as good as Chandrasekhar of the India cricket team

Chandra or Chandrasekhar evoked as much respect as Shane Warne among the opposing batsmen. To compare Shane Warne and Chandra is obviously unfair, given that the two bowlers were so different.Shane Warne was a traditionally legspinner who liked to give the ball a lot of air while Chandra was almost a fast bowler and tended to skid the ball through.Viv Richards among other great cricketers respected the leg spin bowling of Chandra to a great extent

Was Shane Warne better than Abdul Qadir of the Pakistan cricket team

Abdul Qadir was undoubtedly responsible for the revival of traditional leg spin bowling in the subcontinent and his google was incredible, but it is debatable whether he was as good as Shane Warne

Shane Warne was definitely the greatest legspinner in his time

In summary,Shane Warne was of course the greatest legspinner among his contemporaries, and cricket statistics do not lie, but there were other great legspinners prior to Shane Warne's time who were really great too!

Ganguly and Inzamam prove cricket experience cannot be purchased from a shelf

Sourav Ganguly and Inzamam, experienced cricketers, have proved that experience cannot be bought off the shelf

  • Saurav Ganguly helped the Indian cricket team beat South Africa in the first India Vs South Africa cricket test

  • Inzamam Ul Haq has enabled the Pakistan cricket team to beat South Africa in the second cricket test.

  • Jayasurya has almost come back from the dead to make the Sri Lankan cricket team potential favorites for the cricket World cup in the West Indies

Do you think the new cricket players around the world lack talent?

Of course not, but cricket experience at the highest level enables you to play the kind of match winning knock that Sourav Ganguly,Jayasurya and Inzy have been displaying against all odds at the most crucial time

Sachin Tendulkar, are you listening? We are awaiting that magic knock by Sachin against top-class opposition-I am sure that magic knock by Sachin is not far away

Pakistan cricket team make a blunder by not including Akhtar

The Pakistan cricket team needs to play Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammed Asif together

The Pakistan cricket team has made a blunder by not including Shoaib Akhtar in the cricket series against South Africa. Shoaib Akhtar serves as the perfect foil for Mohammed Asif, the pace of Shoaib Akhtar and the guile of Asif is the perfect combination for the Pakistan cricket team.

The Pakistan cricket team selectors should have known that fast bowlers attack in packs

Fast bowlers all over the world have bowled in tandem-Dennis Lillee and Thomson, Brett Lee and McGrath,Michael Holding and Andy Roberts,Imran Khan and Safraz Nawaz. Mohammed Asif and Shoaib Akhtar can form that great combination, if once they are given a chance together in the Pakistan cricket team

The Pakistan cricket team may still win if Yousuf Mohammed can make it for the remaining tests against South Africa

Among all the batsmen of the Pakistan cricket team,Yousuf Mohammed is by far the most compact of batsmen. In fact,in his current form, Yousuf Mohammed is probably the best batsman in the world. If Yousuf plays in the last two tests of this Pakistan Vs South Africa test series, the Pakistan cricket team have some chance of winning the series, which will be closely fought

Akhtar dropped from Pakistan cricket team- Does Pakistan want to lose?

News : Shoiab Akhtar has been dropped from the Pakistan cricket team for the South Africa cricket series.

Why do cricket boards find it so difficult to handle great talents such as Shoiab Akhtar?

It has happened to so many sportsmen around the world- maverick sportsmen with superior talents such as Shoaib Akhtar are not tolerated by the sports authorities.

Shoiab Akhtar is the fastest bowler in the world

We all know from the Indian cricket team's experience about the nature of the pitches in South Africa. Shoiab Akhtar can make the placid of cricket pitches appear to be as dangerous as an Afghan mine trench. On South African cricket pitches, Shoiab Akhtar would have been at his best

Doesnt the Pakistan cricket board want the Pakistan cricket team to win against South Africa?

It appears that the Pakistan cricket board is determined that the Pakistan cricket team should lose against South Africa- not selecting Akhtar for the Pakistan Vs South Africa cricket series seems rather stupid. All this seems to point towards a witchhunt against Shoiab Akhtar.
