Monty Panesar, how Sachin Tendulkar should play Monty Panesar

Monty Panesar should be treated with disdain by Sachin Tendulkar

Monty Panesar has been treated with great respect by the Indian cricket team, especially Sachin Tendulkar in the first India Vs England cricket test at Lords

On a more sarcastic note, the Indian cricket batsmen such as Sachin Tendulkar seem to be treating Monty Panesar, the way Indian culture asks them to treat a fellow Indian in a foreign land

Monty Panesar should be treated with absolutely no respect by Sachin Tendulkar and the rest of the Indian cricket team and Sachin Tendulkar needs to hit Monty Panesar out of the attack as soon as possible

Monty Panesar was thrashed by Gilchrist and Sachin Tendulkar should do the same to Monty Panesar

Monty Panesar was hit for 24 runs in a single over by Adam Gilchrist, including three huge sixes past midwicket. Sachin Tendulkar should watch this video of Monty Panesar being demolished by Adam Gilchrist and take inspiration from it

Sachin Tendulkar played the same way against stalwarts like Glenn Mcgrath and Shane Warne, all that Sachin Tendulkar needs to do is to play Monty Panesar thinking Monty Panesar is just another club bowler!

Monty Panesar spins England cricket to series win over West Indies

Monty Panesar helps England cricket team beat West Indies for series win

Monty Panesar has ensured a win for the England cricket team in the second test match and a series win against the West Indies cricket team

In an exciting cricket test match, Chanderpaul of the West Indies stood between the England cricket team and a series win against the West Indies, but Chanderpaul soon ran out of partners and the England cricket team triumphed

Monty Panesar is on his way to becoming a truly great left arm spinner

I had recently wondered whether Monty Panesar will end up as just another left arm spinner. But Monty Panesar seems to have answered the question with a series winning bowling performance against the West Indies cricket team

Even when Chanderpaul was swatting his spinning deliveries like a lazy ungainly hippopotamus squatting a tse-tse fly, Monty Panesar kept flighting the ball and did not bowl flat, This aspect of Monty Panesar during this test match suggests that Monty Panesar is destined to be a great left arm spin bowler

Wishing Monty Panesar the best of congratulations for a truly great spin bowling performance against the West Indies cricket team

Monty Panesar,is Monty Panesar just an also ran?

Monty Panesar
Originally uploaded by Rob Selby

Is Monty Panesar just destined for also-ran status?

Monty Panesar belongs to that amazing breed of left arm spin bowlers, who believe in wearing down the batsmen with their impeccable line and length

Monty Panesar's hero undoubtedly in the great Bishan Singh Bedi who bowled untiringly for the Indian cricket team for ages.

Bishen Singh Bedi was the classic left arm spinner, being hit for six was an opportunity for Bishen Singh Bedi. All he would do is to drop the next ball a fraction short, so that the batsman would get caught at mid-on

Monty Panesar should see the modern attacking cricket game as an opportunity

Monty Panesar should not be discomfited by the modern way of playing test cricket which includes scoring at almost four runs per over. In fact, Monty Panesar should emulate his mentor Bedi, and see the attacking batting styles of current batsmen as a great opportunity to either toss the ball a fraction more, or bowl a slightly faster ball

Monty can use the traditional left arm spinner's repertoire of varying spin, flight and length and will find that the modern cricket game is just fantastic for spin bowlers

Monty Panesar should resist the temptation to bowl flat to attacking batsmen

Monty Panesar should learn from the Harbhajan Singh story. Harbhajan Singh, another protege of Bishan Singh Bedi, took the wrong route by bowling flatter after being hammered a few times and now has his career in tatters

Monty Panesar should learn from Harbhajan Singh's experience and ensure that he does not attempt to take the easy route of bowling flat and terminate his career by being just another ordinary spin bowler

Monty Panesar has a great future ahead , as long as he keeps to the basics of traditional left arm spin bowling

England will win the cricket World cup!

England cricket team may win the cricket World cup- We reiterate England's chances

The England cricket team have done a great job of reaching the finals of the tri-nation cricket series, involving Australia and New
Zealand. The England cricket team have a good chance of winning the cricket World cup in the West Indies.

The England cricket team is well balanced and has quite a few matchwinners

The England cricket team has good batsmen in Collingwood and Bell, good bowlers in Harmison and Panesar and a great allrounder in
Andrew Flintoff.

The England cricket team has two batting matchwinners in Flintoff and Pieterson

In the England cricket team for the cricket World cup,Flintoff,Collingwood and Pieterson are key potential matchwinners who can score at more than a run a ball.Apart from Flintoff and Pieterson, the England
cricket team also has Bell and Collingwood who are currently in great form and can make an impact in the cricket World cup in the West Indies

The England cricket team needs to be more creative in their cricketing strategies

Strategy is a weak area for the England cricket team in one day international cricket matches. For example, the England cricket team needs to look
at moving either or both Flintoff and Pieterson up the order to exploit the Power Play overs. Also,Yardy is a promising find for the England cricket
team and the England cricket team need to consider having two genuine spinners in Yardy and Monty Panesar, rather than the ineffectual
Giles or Dalrymple

In summary, the England cricket team has an ideal combination for the cricket World cup, it just needs to get its confidence and strategy in place

England can win the cricket World cup in the West Indies

The England cricket team can win the cricket World cup in the West Indies

I know the thought of a demoralized England cricket team winning the World cup cricket tournament sounds incredible. But we,at GameCricket.com have concluded that England can win the cricket World cup, based on a statistical analysis of the England cricket team

The current England cricket team has skills more tuned towards one day international cricket rather than test cricket

The England cricket team is lucky to have many match-winners in their World cup cricket squad in the West Indies. Flintoff and Pieterson are two potential match-winners for the England cricket team, and both of them not only score a lot of runs but also score the runs at an incredible speed.

One of the key challenges in today's one day international cricket is the ability to push the scoring in the middle overs and players such as Flintoff and Pieterson are perfectly capable of making fast scoring happen.

Both Flintoff and Pieterson in the England cricket team, are also good players of spin bowling. The ability to play spin bowling is extremely important during the World cup cricket tournament in the West Indies, since the pitches are expected to be slow and aid spin

The England cricket team needs to sort out their strategy for the cricket world cup

The England cricket team needs to desperately rethink their strategy for the World cup cricket tournament - the England cricket team is actually quite good with batsmen like Bell,Pieterson and Vaugham, all rounders such as Collingwood and Flintoff, good fast bowlers such as Harmison and an excellent spinner in Monty Panesar

All successful one day international cricket teams for the cricket World cup ensure that their best batsmen get to play the maximum number of overs- thats why Sachin Tendulkar opens for India, Fleming and Astle play at the top of the order for New Zealand, Gilchrist opens for Australia and so on- The England cricket team needs to ensure that batsmen such as Flintoff and Pieterson play at the top of the order to ensure that they get enough overs to score runs at a fast pace

Monty Panesar is the key to the England cricket team's chances in the World cup.

The England cricket team needs to nurture Monty Panesar for the World cup cricket tournament since the West Indies cricket pitches are expected to be slow and possibly underprepared- a spinner will most likely be the man of the series for the cricket World cup and Monty Panesar could be that spinner. Yardy has also impressed with the limited chances he has got in the England cricket team and should be considered for the World cup cricket tournament in the West Indies

Ashes 2006 won by Australia-as predicted by GameCricket.com

The Ashes cricket test series has been won by Australia-The Ashes test series score is 4-0 so far and will probably get to 5-0 in favor of Australia.

You should have read GameCricket.com's prediction of the Ashes cricket series,2006 - You wouldnt have then been surprised at the performance of the Australian cricket team against England.

Why exactly did England lose the Ashes cricket series against Australia?

  • Ashes Loss reason 1 :

The Stresscothick incident: Threscothick was England's best opening batsman for the Ashes cricket series against Australia- To come to Australia for the Ashes cricket series and then decide not to play was most unprofessional of Threscothick, irrespective of his personal problems. I dont call for being jingoistic, but citing personal problems while the England cricket team is fighting one of its biggest battles against Australia reeks of not having any national pride.

  • Ashes Loss reason 2:

Inept team selection and captaincy by Flintoff: There is a lot of criticism for Fletcher in the Ashes cricket series-but the person who has to cop the blame is always the captain - Mr. Freddie Flintoff. Not selecting Panesar for the first two tests against Australia in the Ashes cricket series reeked of a really flawed selection policy.Even in the fourth Ashes test,Flintoff obviously has a very low opinion of Panesar's bowling and gave him just 12 overs in Australia's 300+ run assault.

  • Ashes Loss reason 3:

The loss of confidence for Harmison: Harmison at his best is probably one of the best bowlers in world cricket- the images that we always remember are those of Harmison bouncing the cricket ball into the ribs of the Aussie batsmen in the 2005 Ashes cricket series. In the current Ashes 2006 in Australia,Harmison has been a shadow of his former self and seemed to be scared to put the cricket ball close to the Aussie batsmen

The good news for the England cricket team after the Ashes cricket series 2006:

The retirement of Shane Warne and McGrath is the best cricket news that England have heard for a really long time. With young players like Bell and Panesar in the team,England should hopefully have a better time in the next Ashes cricket series :-)
