Virender Sehwag ,the best captain that the Indian cricket captain neverhad

Virender (Virendra) Sehwag is the best cricket captain that the Indian cricket team never had

Virender or Virendra Sehwag is the inspirational captain of the Delhi Daredevils Twenty20 cricket team in the IPL.

Sehwag probably realizes that having an incredible cricket talent is often a liability as people start questioning his attitude and his style of batting as soon as he fails in a couple of innings

As a result, Sehwag , who has a sharp cricketing brain , a never-say-die attitude and an ability to get along with his teammate is never considered for the captaincy role

Not having Sehwag as captain is a great loss for Indian cricket

Sehwag is easily the best Indian test opening batsman after Sunil Gavaskar, and given his cool demeanour will not mind never being the captain of the Indian cricket team. But the Indian cricket team would have missed having this cool technician as the Indian cricket team 's captain

Sehwag ,with his earthy commonsense and great team building skills, would have been a great Indian cricket captain

The wide smiles of the Delhi Daredevils cricket team when they see Sehwag, demonstrate the trust Sehwag 's teammates have in their captain

What do you need from a cricket captain? Someone you could trust, someone who could motivate you when you are down and someone who truly cares about the Indian cricket team and wants it to succeed

Sehwag, as his stint with the Delhi Daredevils cricket team shows, satisfies all the above criteria, and should be given the mantle of captaincy of the Indian cricket team before his retirement

Indian cricket team losing to Bangladesh in World cup cricket group match?

Indian cricket team is struggling against Bangladesh cricket in the World cup cricket Group match

The Indian cricket team is struggling at 125/4 off 37 overs against the unfancied Bangladesh cricket team

The Indian cricket batsmen were tentative to start with and soon lost Sehwag - playing without moving his feet again

Uthappa showed promise for the Indian cricket team but was soon out prodding at the ball outside the offstump

The Indian cricket batsmen are treating the cricket ball as if it is a live grenade

The Indian cricket team are running scared of the cricket ball and only gingerly touching the ball with the bat

The Indian cricket team soon lost Sachin Tendulkar as he tried to force the pace for a change, but his current amazing weakness against the spinners was exposed as he was caught behind of the foxy Rafique

Indian cricket team's only hope are Yuvraj and Dhoni in Group match against Bangladesh cricket team

Yuvraj Singh seems to be in fine form for the Indian cricket team and he seems to be the only hope for India along with Dhoni to follow next. Yuvraj and Dhoni need to power the Indian cricket team to a score of at least 225 runs to make a match of this India Vs Bangladesh Group match of the cricket world cup,2007

Indian cricket team could be out of the cricket World cup if they lose this opener against the Bangladesh cricket team and time is running out!

Sehwag-The importance of being Viru of Indian cricket

Sehwag-the importance of being Viru of the Indian cricket team

Sehwag is repeatedly being selected in the Indian cricket team for his "superhuman match winning skills".Is this hope of Sehwag putting up a match winning score justified to keeping him in the Indian cricket team indefinitely

Sehwag is another of the long procession of the Indian cricket team's superstars

Sehwag and the triumph of individual cricketing talent in the Indian cricket team

Sehwag epitomizes the importance of the "hero syndrome" affecting the idolizing Indian cricket spectators, selectors and other cricket followers

Before Sehwag, there was Sachin Tendulkar, before Sachin there were Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev-For every success, these Indian cricket stars like Sehwag are treated like Gods and dumped after every failure

Sehwag's importance and New Zealand's success

In comparison to Sehwag's individual talent, no one in the New Zealand cricket team has had super talent, apart from maybe Richard Hadlee, but the New Zealand cricket team has been reasonably successful in world cricket

There seems to be a virtue in not having great talent and the expectations the talent leads itself to

Sehwag not dropped from Indian cricket team-the much hyped matchwinner

Sehwag has been selected for the Indian cricket team for the cricket World cup

Sehwag has been chosen in the Indian cricket team for the cricket World cup in the West Indies. The Indian cricket selectors chose experience over recent performance by selecting Sehwag,Agarkar,Yuvraj ahead of special players such as Ramesh Powar

Sehwag-the much hyped cricket matchwinner for the Indian cricket team

Sehwag has been selected in the Indian cricket team despite his recent poor performances.Ostensibly,Sehwag has been selected since he is a "matchwinner" and can win a cricket match for the Indian cricket team , by virtue of his own performance

I am not disputing that Sehwag is a matchwinner, but I would like to question the number of chances given to Virendra Sehwag compared to other players in the Indian cricket team. Compared to Sehwag,Joginder Singh, for example, was recently given only one cricket match to prove himself and was summarily chucked out

Compared to Sehwag, even Ganguly was given fewer chances and even thrown out of the team, that too after a good showing against the Pakistan cricket team

Well, lets hope that Sehwag does justice to the faith imposed by the selectors and scores during the cricket world cup

Durban weather disappoints India-Indian batting fails as well

India lost the Durban test to South Africa due to inept batting and a failure from the Durban weather- The Indian batsmen however did not believe in letting the Durban weather play a part in the result of the India Vs South Africa second test and quickly ensured that the Indian batting folded up before the weather became any worse.

Once the Indian cricket team is determined to lose,no bad weather can hold them up!

Jokes apart, Ntini bowled with a lot of fire in the India Vs South Africa second cricket test under overcast conditions and the second cricket test result was determined in the first over of the fifth day when Sachin Tendulkar fell to Ntini for a duck. It quite amazes people that great batsmen like Sachin and Sehwag fall cheaply while bowlers like Zaheer and Kumble play for almost an hour.

The reason for the failures of top order batsmen in world cricket is the research done on the weaknesses of the batsmen. Sachin Tendulkar has a weakness for the inswinger from outside the off to the middle stump and every bowler of the world from Mohammed Asif to Brett Lee to Ntini will continue to exploit that weakness. Unless Sachin Tendulkar can solve that problem, his batting woes are bound to continue.
